Jon Voight - Voight To Join 24
JON VOIGHT is ecstatic after being asked to join the cast of his favourite TV show 24 - to play a villain.
The 69-year-old Oscar winner will make his first appearance during a two-hour prequel episode that will air in November (08) ahead of the series' seventh season premiere.
The Midnight Cowboy star will then re-appear in the latter half of the season, reports Fox News.
In a statement, Voight says, "I am thrilled and excited about being invited to be part of my favourite show 24. I'm hoping to bring my very best to it."

Pete Wentz 'excited' about becoming a dad
Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz has said that he is "excited" about becoming a father for the first time.
The star, who recently married singer Ashlee Simpson, told E! News that he felt "totally content" when he heard the news.
"I'm genuinely a nervous person in general," Wentz said, explaining that he is now "excited to be a dad".
"The first time I ever went to the doctor's office and heard the (baby's) heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything," he said.
